About Robbin and Joseph Everett:

Robbin and Joseph Everett, internet superstars since September 2008 have been bringing pet related entertainment to animal lovers in over 30 countries. Robbin and Joe dominate pet related media by hosting a weekly radio show, appearing on their own hit web TV show (on hiatus), hosting a community, blogging, and writing a newspaper column. They have made guest appearances on terrestrial radio, guest blog posts and pet related events.

Robbin Everett, AKA Princess Rhino Bear Tamer, is a prissy, proper, preppy, powerful lady with a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde personality. Robbin spent years as a passionate equestrian, trainer and animal communicator while maintaining duel career in corporate America. Watch out, when she gets her fur up. She will throw down when it comes to voicing her opinion. However, sometimes her toughest job is keeping the Chief Rhino Bear in line.
Joseph Everett, AKA Chief Rhino Bear, spent over 30 years in Fire and Rescue Services. Tragedy befell Joseph after he lost his entire crew in a horrific accident in Hackensack, NJ. He learned early in his career that approaching life with a sense of humor will get you through the worst of times. He also served at both World Trade Center terrorist attacks. He continues to give back and serve his community as the Fire Chief. Through a steely exterior, his love of animals takes a tough man and makes him a big teddy bear as he wheels his two little dogs in their pink stroller.
Joe’s gritty, real, witty street smart style coupled with Robbin’s knowledge base and no nonsense attitude leads to fireworks, laughter and entertainment as you have never seen before.

About Leo Grillo:

Leo Grillo is an actor and a passionate conservationist and animal welfare activist, and is considered an expert in the field of animal rescue by US county, state and federal agencies.

In 1977 Leo Grillo moved to Los Angeles to launch his film career while studying in famed film acting coach Charles Conrad’s Master Class. Then in March of 1979, Leo began to have strange dreams about a dog that were about to change his life. On a trip to Bakersfield to visit his best friend’s family Leo was driving through the Angeles National Forest when off to the right, slowly plodding his way along a ridge, was a black Doberman… the very same dog from his dreams! Leo quickly pulled to the side of the road and rescued the very tired and thin dog. As Leo and the recently rescued dog headed for Bakersfield, he could not help but wonder how someone could have abandoned this sensitive, loving dog in the forest far away from food or water. Leo named the dog from his dreams “Delta”, which means, “change” in Greek, and Delta truly changed Leo’s life.

“The rescue of Delta was just the beginning of many more wilderness rescues to come.”

One such rescue began when Leo and Delta were on a wilderness hike in the Angeles National Forest, and they came across 35 other dogs that were starving and had been abandoned. Leo vowed to save the dogs and was appalled to learn that no humane organization or government agency would help without killing the dogs. Leo took it upon himself to spend the next year feeding the dogs daily, and medicating them when they were sick. Leo kept the promise he made to the dogs and rescued them when no one else would. Through the rescue of Delta and the 35 other dogs Leo formed Dedication & Everlasting Love To Animals (D.E.L.T.A. Rescue), a non-profit wilderness animal rescue organization.

Today, thanks to Delta, D.E.L.T.A. Rescue is the largest no-kill, care for life animal sanctuary in the world, which is home to over 1,500 abandoned cats and dogs. In addition to running D.E.L.T.A. Rescue, Leo also founded the national horse rescue group “Horse Rescue of America” www.horeserescueofamerica.org and “Wildlife Sanctuary of America”.

In 2005 Leo starred opposite Grey’s Anatomy’s “Katherine Heigl” in the thriller “Zyzzyx Road”. In 2010 he starred in a family film called “Magic” with “Robert Davi” and “Christopher Llloyd”. This heartwarming story is about a dog who is an angel sent to heal a broken family. www.animalsarepeopletoo.com

Moving with Your Dog

Moving Day: Helping Your Dog Settle into a New House

Tips for Moving with Your Dog

Tips for Moving with Your Dog

Moving to a new place can be nerve-racking for your pooch because he is suddenly in a different environment with new smells, sounds, and people. However, a few simple tricks will help him settle into his new home quickly!

The truck is here-The day the moving truck come is stressful for people so imagine what it is like for your dog. To help make moving day easy for him, make sure that he is locked in a spare room with his favorite toys, at doggy daycare, or out for the day with a trusted friend.

Unpack Fido’s stuff first-We want to make sure that your dog understands that this is now home so unpack his toys, bed, food and dishes right away. Make sure that his things are in the same area as they were at your old home. For example, if the dog bed was in the master bedroom then put it in the master bedroom again.

Meet the neighbors-Your new home and the surrounding area are filled with different smells and people. Take Fido out for a walk and let him explore this new area. Give him extra time to sniff and investigate so he becomes familiar with his new neighborhood. Keep him on leash during these outings so he doesn’t try to run away and go back to his old home.

Update his information-Make sure that Fido is wearing a tag with your new phone number and address. Don’t forget to update his micro chipped information too! Finally, if you have decided to take Fido to a new vet, make an appointment for a wellness check so you and your dog can meet the vet BEFORE there is an emergency. This will allow you and your pup to establish a working relationship with the doctor before you actually need him or her.

Be pro-active-If your pup has any issues with barking, separation anxiety, or growling at other people or dogs be proactive and hire a trainer as soon as possible since you don’t want your dog’s old habits to be transferred to the new location. You also want to make sure that your new neighbors enjoy your dog as much as you do.

Exercise-A tired dog is a happy dog. A dog with excess energy is more likely to bark, chew furniture and generally get into trouble especially during more stressful periods in life like moving. Make sure to give Fido at least two 30-45 minute walks or runs per day.
