Protection Plus from PetCareRx-Review and HUGE Giveaway

It’s so hard to get everything done that you need to do during the week.  There is just never enough time!  Like many paw-parents, our “to do” list is long and arduous.  So, when we reviewed a new program, designed to save time and money on pet meds, we were psyched. Checking one task off of the list! Yes!

Protection Plus  is a discount drug and preventative medicine program for dogs and cats.  You pay a monthly membership fee starting of $9.99 or as little as $0.25/day with an annual plan and you get access to deeply discounted medicine for your pets.  This includes preventatives like flea/tick topicals and heartworm medications.

Here is a little video we made about Protection Plus-(look at cute Cha is in her Smurfy dress!)

Will My Pet Be Accepted Into Protection Plus Plan?

All dogs and cats are eligible – no exclusions!  It’s not a problem if your pet has pre-existing conditions, because it’s a membership program.  We believe this program is going to help save animal’s lives and keep them happy and healthy in their homes longer.  How many stories have you heard about people who couldn’t afford medication for their pet, so they gave them up?  This is the affordable and convenient solution to an issue plaguing pet owners since the dawn of time: paying top dollar for pet meds and making an extra trip to the vet to pick them up.

Signing Up

It only takes a few minutes to sign up and fill in your pet’s info.  It couldn’t be easier.  You can print out a temporary membership card for your pets and start ordering right away.

Placing An Order

Protection Plus will contact your pet’s vet and get the prescription for you, or you can mail your pet’s prescription to them.  So it’s a no hassle, no stress process.  When you place your order, you can have the filled prescription mailed to your home for free – no minimum order size or you can pick up the drug at a “human” pharmacy. The plan gives you the choice, if it is available for your pet’s prescription, when you place your order.

There are over 60,000 local pharmacies like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and Target in the plan! Check it out and see if there is a participating location near you with this link.-Protection Plus Pharmacy Locator

Protection Plus carries tons of different medications.  One of the most common and costly medicines is Novolin Insulin for pets with diabetes.  You can buy it through Protection Plus, for  $20 compared to $100 at other sources – that’s 80% off!  They also carry cancer meds like Leukeran- for 74% off retail, and  Novox, a generic of Rimadyl, for arthritis and joint pain for 69% off.

Get Other Discounts Too

There are other discounts too including:

– Veterinary services through Pet Assure,

-Boarding and daycare through DogVacay.com,

-Vaccinations through Paws Plus Clinics.

You also have access to Lost Pet Recovery Services through Pet Assure and you receive a 15% discount for all purchases on Petcarerx.com .

Is This The Real Stuff?

Buy with confidence! You are getting the authentic medicine with Protection Plus, not some shady gallon of flea and tick discount stuff from a foreign country.  C’mon, we all have cheap friends that told us about one of those fantastic deals.

Tell All Of Your Pet Loving Friends

We need to get the word out about this program.  It’s really going to help a lot of people and pets. One of our friends is still paying off bills from her poor cat that had cancer and we have another acquaintance that was paying huge money for insulin for his dog.  We can remember him saying the insulin cost $100 a pop.

The Protection Plus Plan is going to change the lives of pet owners, making it more affordable for people to keep their pets and provide them a long, healthy and happy life.

One of my doggies gets seizures 🙁

I would use this for my large dogs’ flea and tick medicine.

  3. Chris-Sorry about your dog’s seizures.

One of my dogs is a senior and I want to be able to take care of him.

My 14 year old peekipoo, Sushi, gets kidney stones every few years and the surgery is expensive. I use it to help with that.

  6. My husband and I have two grown daughters who have been on their own for almost 10 years but we have two other girls (Border Collies) with us. Our senior canine, Scout is 14 and 4 years ago we adopted Mollie who has kept Scout on her paws. Mollie is very loud and if she’s outside with me or just out for potty she thinks she has to announce her presence to the neighborhood. Scout then gets into the mix and barks and trots around. I really think the relationship they share has kept Scout young and determined to keep up with her sister. She does love watching all the goings on while laying in the shade of our maple tree. She truly loves it and I see it in her eyes and expression. We made a commitment to take care of, provide for and love them when Scout was 8 and Mollie was 6 weeks old, just like any other family member. I know Scout is beginning to slow down. She’s developed diabetes and arthritis. Vet bills are never under $50 and the medications aren’t covered under our health insurance, you know what I mean? We would never discontinue the meds because of money but if we are able to save a few dollars we will at least give it a try. I get a positive vibe from your comments so thanks for posting your opinions. I will get back to you and let you know what we think.

My dog Kouga is getting older and I want to take care of him the best I can. We adopted Artie last April and he and Kouga are great friends. Keeping them together, healthy and happy is my goal.

  8. Having lost a dog last year, I know how expensive surgeries and medications can get!

I need to keep up with Kouga’s joints and bones. I would use it for vitamins and treats with joint support.

My dogs are members of our family and we want to ensure that they have everything they need to live long, happy, healthy lives.
