Getting Fit For Our Pets

So we have been talking about it and talking about it and now we are doing it!

We are getting fit for each other and our fur babies!

We are in a major detox mode right now here at HQ.  We ordered one of those “new-fangled” Nutribullet smoothie makers and we are on our way!

It comes with a recipe book so it gives you lots of ideas.  We never thought we would be drinking kale, collard greens and spinach but, hey, you have to start somewhere, right?  We are eatting veg and protein for lunch and dinner with a smoothie at breakfast and dinner.  Snacks are fruit, nuts and natural gluten free, high protein foods.

We really wanted to remove as much glueten and chemicals from our diet as we could.  We both grew up with spagetti Sundays and sandwiches everyday for lunch so this was a major change.  We are removing glueten, so no bread made with wheat at all.

We tried gleuten free pasta, made with rice flour, last night.  It was delicious.  We had a smoothie, lots of brocolli and a little pasta with lean meat sauce.  We were at the end of week 2, so we needed a little treat.

We were never binge eatting but we gained weight when the business got busy and we became less active.  It’s tough getting old too!    The ol’body doesn’t want to speed burn like it used to in high school.

We will be bringing you the latest from our camp and we hope you share your stories as well here and in the Pet Lover Crew on Facebook.  Your support is appreciated and we of course will support anyone who would like to join us.

We want to be fit and healthy for each other and our furbabies.  We got a second chance at life and we are treating every minute as a gift.
