Bradley Beach Fire Chief Joseph Everett in the Asbury Park Press

Well, if you are wondering why you may have seen a tweet that things were crazy here earlier, it was because Joe AKA Poppie Peep is the Fire Chief in town.  I wasn’t feel well this morning…perhaps an ominous premonition, after tossing and turning all night.  We had threat of 6-12 inches of snow on top of the 30 inches already here.

Joe was in and out all night, leaving at about 11:30 PM, not to return until 6:00 this morning.  He, other officers and some crew were standing by at the firehouse.  He came home, got about an hour of sleep when another call came in.  It was a working structure fire.

The Asbury Park Press published this story.

Here is where I get to brag a bit.  After 30 years of service in Hackensack, NJ, Joe still continues to give back to his community.  We have a NJ State Proclamation on the wall downstairs from the Governor thanking Joe for his service to the State and his community.   I couldn’t be more proud of my husband an all of those who have stood beside him.  Some are in this realm and some have crossed over prematurely.  A high 4 paw 5 to all of you!

We do all we can for our furry friends and our community as well.    So many of you do.  Impacting one pet, one life, one person at a time.
