Oh, No She Didn’t

Is your fur up on your back?  Did someone steal your hidden cookie?  Are you fed up with the world?  Did someone piss in your grapefruit? (OK, that’s Joe’s saying in case you didn’t know.)

Well hell, stuff happens.  We all know that it does.  It’s easy to see the color red, but it is hard to be read as a person.  Animals make it easy to read their emotions.  They arch their backs, hiss, bark, pin their ears back and BAM! You should have seen it coming right?

As an aside, the only people that never seem to see an attack coming are those reporters on TV that are doing a story with a cat in their lap and the are unaware that the cat doesn’t want to be pet.  But, these acts make for good TV, or at least outtakes and You Tube video.

Sometimes people do things that are so outrageous and egregious that we can’t help but arch our backs and hiss, or raise our legs and …well, you know.

Look, we are human, but we need to learn to not let the little things ruin our day.  Count to ten, take a walk, take a deep breath.  In the big scheme of things, haters gonna hate, you know?  So let them hate.  Let them sit in their own negativity.

Soar baby, soar!

Be the eagle.  Soar.  Lift your spirit above all of the negative and turn whatever happened into a positive.  Your positive relationships and positive people around you will help you overcome.  Don’t let these things hold you back from your world of infinite possibilities.

Petsitting.com to Donate 10% of Sales Toward Helping Homeless and Injured Pets in Oklahoma

Company seeks to help animals after a tornado claiming the lives of more than 20 people

NEW YORK (May 22, 2013) – In response to the recent natural disaster in Moore, Oklahoma, Petsitting.com has announced that it will be donating 10 percent of its total sales this week toward helping the dogs and cats left without homes in the area.

The company will donate to the Pet Food Pantry of OKC, which is offering dog and cat food, leashes, collars, food bowls and other items to pet owners in need. Many pets and pet owners have been separated during the storm, and Petsitting.com is doing what it can to help rescue these pets and hopefully reunite them with their owners.

“This disaster has had a devastating impact not only on the people who live there, but on their pets as well,” said Jared Katz, Vice President of Sales for Petsitting.com. “We feel it is part of our responsibility to do whatever we can to help out using the resources at our disposal, and we encourage our partner organizations in the area to do the same.”

Petsitting.com encourages any residents who find lost or homeless pets in the Moore area to call the local Animal Resource Center at 405-604-2892. The center, which is also offering shelter for displaced people temporarily, is located at 7949 S. I-35 Service Road in Oklahoma. The City of Moore Animal Control Department will collect information on lost and found pets, and can be reached at 405-793-5190.

In addition to the contributions, the company is also calling on its partner pet care providers in and around Moore to help care for injured and homeless animals.

On Monday, May 20, an EF-4 tornado touched down in Moore, with an estimated 24 people—including nine children—losing their lives and many more seriously injured, according to ABC News. Many dogs and cats have been left wandering the streets without homes, many of them suffering from injuries of their own.

Petsitting.com has a network of trusted pet care providers across North America, including near Moore. Pet owners use the website to find pet care services—such as dog walking, boarding and doggy daycare—close to where they live.

Looking to the inside-

Finding Love

Pets are considered pure souls.  They are open to kindness and they give love unconditionally.  Unless they have been exposed to trauma, (thank you mean, horrible humans), they are willing to trust and love.

Wow-this is where you really need to take stock of your own feelings and situation.  It’s so simple when you learn from pets.  Are you willing to give what you want to receive what you want?  Have you been hurt in the past and are you not past that trauma?

If you are not past the trauma, you can’t move forward.  Decide to lick your wounds, forgive and forget.  You need to do this to move forward on your path.  People who act like wounded animals, growling and sniping, will not be able to call into their lives that which is truly their heart’s desire.

Sitting around, planning revenge and actions of hatred will keep you stuck right where you are.  The alternative is finding another bad match. You just call into your life someone who is just as abusive or uncaring as the last person.

Step outside of your comfort zone.  You deserve to find true love.  You deserve to be loved.  You can only make it happen when you are whole and happy on the inside.  Only then, will you truly be able to find the love of your life.
