Zututh

A new kind of tooth brush for dogs!

ZUTUTH, LLC is a company dedicated to improving the oral hygiene of dogs. We create assistive oral hygiene devices for the veterinary market. Periodontal disease has been determined to be the most prevalent chronic disease of dogs. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, it is estimated that 80% of dogs have periodontal disease by the age of two. The main reason is that oral hygiene is not performed on dogs on a routine basis. Certain breeds may have increased risk due to other reasons (greyhound muzzle).
Oral infections have been shown to contribute to chronic inflammatory conditions effecting the heart, kidneys and circulatory and immune systems. Daily tooth brushing reduces plaque and gum disease thereby reducing the risk of decay and infections.

ZUTUTH, LLC strives to make daily tooth brushing easier and more effective. ZUTUTH is game-changer for two major reasons: first, it is the only toothbrush designed specifically for dogs and second, it represents the new thinking in regards to home petcare.

The ZUTUTH toothbrush is designed with a dog’s mouth as a template. As in humans, plaque accumulates on the surfaces of the dog’s teeth through deposit of salivary components.  This plaque is rich in bacteria, which utilize the sugars in the diet to create acids. The acids dissolve the enamel on the teeth creating decay.  The area that is most effected is the backmost upper teeth near the salivary glands.  The upper molars are the most important teeth in chewing and breaking up foods.

However, the upper back teeth of most breeds are inset in relation to the front teeth.  This makes access to these teeth very difficult with a standard tooth brush.  Zututh’s patent-pending design works with the dog’s anatomy so that these teeth can be cleaned properly.

Also, ZUTUTH is designed to reach the upper back teeth and the teeth in front of them in one motion.  With more teeth being cleaned at once that reduces the time needed to do an effective job.

Home oral care for dogs is not the same as for humans.  We try to clean all surfaces of our own teeth every time we brush.  For dogs, some tooth surfaces, like the tongue sides are self cleansing, and plaque normally is not as much of a problem for the front teeth. The new thinking is that the first areas to brush are the upper back teeth followed by the front teeth.  If the dog allows it, then clean all surfaces of the teeth.

The handle is angled away from the dog’s mouth to allow the user to remain clean and comfortable and to reduce the chances of the user’s hand being bitten.

With the new and unique design of ZUTUTH, word will spread that pet owners need not be afraid to brush their dog’s teeth. ZUTUTH makes it easy to brush, and gets to the areas normally not reachable by the products on the market today.  Along with user-friendly instructions, ZUTUTH will inspire confidence in home pet oral care and will save money in veterinary dental bills.
