Banjo, a 13 year old Koala, was stolen from the Australian Reptile Park.  Thieves used bolt cutters to gain access to his enclosure.

Luckily, Banjo was returned 2 days later.  An anonymous caller said the koala was in a parking garage.  Someone probably thought he would be a cool pet or took him on a dare.  This situation ended well.  We know so many of them don’t

A message on the Australian Reptile Park website stated that, after an inspection by mammal keepers and a veterinary consultation, operations manager Tim Faulkner said that “although tired, hungry and a little dehydrated it appears that Banjo has no signs of trauma or any long lasting ailments.”
